Description

Foreliggende oppfinnelse angår en fremgangs-
måte ved sammensveising av lok og beholder av termoplastisk materiale. Oppfinnelsen tar sikte på også å skaffe et lokk for anvendelse med fremgangsmåten. Fremgangsmåtén er særlig egnet for lokk og beholder av hovedsakelig rektangulær form,
og er særlig fordelaktig når det ene eller begge av de gjenstander som skal sveises sammen, inneholder detaljer som stikker opp av eller ned fra beholderen henholdsvis lokket, dvs. strekker seg gjennom den flate som begrenses av de kanter som skal sammen-
føyes .
Speilsveising, dvs. oppvarming mot en opphetet metallplate, er en ofte anvendt fremgangsmåte for sammenføyning av lokk og beholder av termoplastisk materiale. Et viktig anvendelsesområde for denne fremgangsmåte er feste av lokk på cellekar for elektriske akkumulatorer. Oppfinnelsen er særlig egnet for tilpasning i slike forbindelser.
Tidligere har det ved speilsveising vært anvendt sveisespeil som dekket hele den flate som avgrenses av de kanter mot hvilke sammenføyning skal finne sted. Dette har medført relativt store sveisespeil, hvorfor det har medgått betydelige varmemengder til oppvarming av disse. En annen ulempe er at når oppvarmingen av kantene på beholderens lokk er avsluttet,
må sveisespeilet fjernes gjennom en forholdsvis lang bevegelse. Ytterligere en ulempe ved kjente fremgangsmåter er at utsparinger
i form av hulninger måtte anordnes i sveisespeilet tilsvarende eventuelt oppstikkende eller nedstikkende detaljer i beholder og lokk. Dette medførte at et bestemt sveisespeil bare kan anvendes for sammenføyning av beholder og lokk av et bestemt utseende, hvorfor omstillinger til forskjellige typer av beholder og lokk ble unødvendig arbeidskrevende.
Ved hjelp av fremgangsmåten ifølge oppfinnelsen oppnås at tiden til å fjerne sveisespeilet fra beholder og lokk etter avsluttet oppvarming kunne kortes vesentlig inn. Derved oppnås en bedre kontroll av temperaturen for materialflåtene i sammenføyningsøyeblikket, hvorved kvaliteten av den oppnådde sammenføyning kan forbedres. Det er f.eks. ved battericeller av vesentlig betydning at sveisefugen er helt tett. Den oppfundne fremgangsmåte tillater også betydelig større fleksibilitet hos de for gjennomføring av fremgangsmåten anvendte anordninger.
Fremgangsmåten ifølge oppfinnelsen utmerker seg
ved at de kanter av lokk og beholder som skal sveises til hverandre, oppvarmes mot et hovedsakelig av en rektangulær ramme bestående sveisespeil. Speilets form må imidlertid tilpasses formen av de gjenstander som skal sammenføyes. Sveisespeilet skal være slik at det lar hovedsakelig hele beholderåpningen være fri. Sveisespeilet skal videre være delt, slik at etter avsluttet oppvarming fjernes beholder og lokk et kort stykke fra sveisespeilet som deretter fjernes fra oppvarmingsstillingen uten å passere beholderåpningen. Dette medfører at ved utformning av sveisespeilet behøver ikke tas hensyn til andre detaljer enn akkurat kantene som skal sammenføyes. Særlig fordelaktig er dette f.eks. ved visse typer av blyakkumulatorceller, hvor lokkene sveises på cellekarene etter at elektrodesettene er anbragt i dette. Elektrodesettene omfatter også poltapper som av og til kan være av betydelig lengde, hvorved anvendelsen av tidligere fremgangsmåter blir helt umulig. Ved fremgangsmåten ifølge oppfinnelsen kan hensiktsmessig anvendes et lokk som har dels en ytterkant beregnet på fastsveising til en beholder, samt en innenfor denne beliggende nedstikkende kant. Fortrinnsvis er den nedstikkende kant rettet nedover - utover, slik at den 1 det minste når frem til et vertikalt plan gjennom ytterkantens indre grenselinje. Med et slikt lokk kan man utnytte en spesiell fremgangsmåte, hvorved under hele oppvarmingsforløpet og deretter følgende øyeblikk den fra lokket nedstikkende kant støtter beholderveggens innerside. Derved muliggjøres en meget nøyaktig innfatning av lokket på beholderen.
En gjennomskjæring av et for fremgangsmåten beregnet lokk er vist på figuren. Lokket har en ytterkant 1 beregnet på feste mot en beholder. Innenfor denne finnes en nedstikkende kant 2 som er rettet nedover - utover, slik at den når frem til et vertikalt plan 3 gjennom ytterkantens indre grenselinje 4. Kanten fortsetter deretter nedover med konisk tverrsnitt, hvorved lokkets påføring på beholderen blir lettere.

Claims (4)

1. Fremgangsmåte ved sammensveising av lokk og beholder av termoplastisk materiale, karakterisert ved at de kanter på lokket og beholderen som skal sveises til hverandre, varmes mot en i det vesentlige av en rektangulær ramme bestående sveiseskjerm som lar hovedsakelig hele beholderåpningen være fri, og at etter avsluttet oppvarming fjernes lokk og beholder et kort stykke fra sveis*eskjermen som er delt, slik at den fjernes uten å passere over beholderåpningen, hvoretter beholder og lokk trykkes sammen.
2. Fremgangsmåte ifølge krav 1, karakterisert ved at under hele forløpet av oppvarmingen og det derpå følgende moment støtter en fra lokket nedstikkende kant mot beholderveggens innerside.
3. Lokk for anvendelse ved fremgangsmåten ifølge et av de foregående krav, karakterisert ved en ytterkant beregnet på fastsveising til en beholder, samt en innenfor denne beliggende nedstikkende kant.
4. Lokk ifølge krav 3, karakterisert ved at den nedstikkende kant er rettet nedover - utover, slik at den i det minste når frem til et plan gjennom ytterkantens indre grenselinje.
