Abstract

For å hindre oppløsning av sandkorn eller av den opp-rinnelige binding mellom disse korn rundt en brønn når varmt, vandig fluid strømmer gjennom brønnen under en oljeutvinnings-prosess, behandles sandkornene minst én gang med en oppløs-ning av Al-ioner i et oppløsningmiddel såsom vann. En slik behandling av sandkorn med Al-ioner kan også utføres når sandkornene er blitt konsolidert ved hjelp av siliciumpoly-halogenid, for å redusere formasjonsvannets angrep på bindingene mellom sandkornene.
