Abstract

Fremgangsmåte for gjenvinning av en væske fra et par- tikkel f ormig fast stoff som omfatter å blande det faste stoff inneholdende væsken med en partikkelformig polyuretan væske- sorbent, i nærvær eller fravær av vann i en tid og ved en temperatur som er tilstrekkelig til at væsken kan sorberes av den partikkelformige væskesorbent. Deretter blir blandingen av sorbent, fast stoff, og væske fortynnet med vann ved en passende temperatur, og sorbenten inneholdende den sorberte væske adskilt fra vann-faststoffblandingen. Væsken gjenvinnes fra sorbenten ved et sentrifugeringstrinn. Fremgangsmåten kan anvendes på gjenvinning av væsker spilt i grunnen. Den kan også anvendes på gjenvinning av olje fra forekomster som tjæresanden i Athabasca.
