En programmerbar prosessor (14) mottar påviste koordlnatplasserlnger fra en føler (16) og referansekoordlnatplasserlnger fra en referanse- 1ageranordning (12). Prosessoren (14) utfører en koordlnatoverførlng fra referansekoordlnatrammen til den påviste koordlnatramme og bygger opp en tabell av mulige vurderinger. Mulige vurderinger finnes fra mulige vurderinger som har deres forskjellsvektorer liggende under en på forhånd angitt terskel. Disse mulige vurderinger blir så anbragt i et vurderings- matrlsehistogram (30) som blir ytterligere forbedret for å eliminere alle bortsett fra de beste vurderinger. Den avsluttende vurdering kan så benyttes til å finne et bestemt siktepunkt (24) i den påviste sammenstilling (26).
