Abstract

Homokonjugerte antistoffer med høy aviditet for antigen har økte terapeutiske virkninger og anvendes i farmasøytiske og diagnostiske preparater. Homokonjugatene, som typisk fremstilles av monoklonale antistoffer -av klasse IgG, som bindes til den samme antigeniske determi- nant, bindes kovalent ved hjelp av syntetisk tverrbinding. Homokonjugatene består av minst to immunglobulinmonomerer slik at det dannes et IgG-lignende molekyl som er tetra- valent, heksavalent eller mer for det valgte antigen. Homokonjugatene er i stand til å krysse placenta. Behand- lingsmåter under anvendelse av disse homokonjugater er også omtalt.
