Abstract

Oppfinnelsen vedrører nye veidekkeasfaltblandinger med forbedrede viskoelastiske egenskaper og forbed- ret lagringsstabilitet og uventet fasekompatibili- tet. Blandingene inneholder nøytraliserte blandin- ger av oksydert asfalt og en syrefunksjonalisert polymer, hvilken polymer er valgt fra gruppen bestående av sulfonert EPDM, sulfonert styren-buta- dien, og akrylsyreterpolymerer, i en mengde som er tilstrekkelig til å gi en asfaltblanding med et mykningspunkt over 55*C og en viskositet fra 150 cPs til 2000 cPs eller fra 3000 cPs til 8000 cPS, bestemt ved 135°C og som er effektiv til å mulig- gjøre dannelse av en kontinuerlig fase eller to interdispergerte faser som ikke segregerer ved hen- stand ved forhøyede temperaturer. Det basiske nøy- traliseringsmiddel anvendt i disse blandinger inne- holder kationer med en valens fra +1 til +3, for- trinnsvis +2. Oppfinnelsen vedrører også produkter fremstilt ved fremgangsmåten og en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av blandingene. Blandingene kan anvendes som bindemidler i veidekker, spesielt som bindemiddel i tettgraderte og åpengraderte varme veidekke-blandinger.
