Abstract

Det blir beskrevet en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av synlige merker i støpte kontaktlinser, spesielt myke kontaktlinser, ved å plassere en fordypet merkekonfigurasjon i en metallinnsettingsdel. Den fordypede merkekonfigurasjonen er minst omkring 10 mikron dyp, har en volumindeks som er forholdet mellom volum imder en referanseoverlate minus volumet over referanseoverflaten over volumet under referanseoverflaten, på minst omkring 0,9. Den fordypede merkekonfigurasjonen har også fortrinnsvis et forhold for overflate-ruhet (RMS eller Ra) til et topp-til-bunn (PV) måling, RMS/PV eller Ra/PV, på større enn omkring 0,15. Den fordypede merkekonfigurasjonen i metallinnsettingsdelen blir deretter overført som en hevet del på injeksjonsstøperammene, og blir så overført som et synlig fordypet merke i kontaktlinsene støpt i rammene fremstilt ved anvendelse av innsettingsdelene. Forholdet for overflate-ruhet (RMS eller Ra) til høyden (H), hvor H er distansen mellom to referanselinser i en profil av merket RMS/H eller Ra/H, er minst omkring 1,5. En foretrukket fremgangsmåte fora gi den fordypede konfigurasjonen til innsettingsdelen, er ved elektrisk utladningsmaskinering (EDM).
