Abstract
Fremgangsmåte for friradikalpoding av monomerer på et polypropylen, omfattende (i) blanding av polypropylenet med en allylepoksy-forbindelse, en styren-for- bindelse og et peroksid som initiator, (il) oppvarming av blandingen til en temperatur over polypropylenets smelte- punkt og peroksidets spaltningstempera- tur under betingelser med kontinuerlig blanding inntil det er oppnådd en ønsket grad av poding av allylepoksy-forbind- else og styren-forbindelse på polypro- pylenet, og (iii) avkjøling og oppdeling av det oppnådde materiale. Et podet polypropylen-materiale frem- stilt ved fremgangsmåten omfatter inntil 10 vekt% glycidylmetakrylat og inntil 10 vekt% styren, beregnet på basis av poly- propylenet. Materialet kan anvendes som blandbarhetsmiddel i polymerblandinger, som hjelpemiddel for å forbedre en poly- mers adhesjonsevne, og i for å oppnå gjenstander med bedre trykkbarhet.
