Abstract

Oppfinnelsen angår en fremgangsmåte til fremstil- ling av hydrofile skiktlag på polymere substrater, hvorved man stråleinduserer minst én hydrofil vinylmonomer på en aktivert substratoverflate som podepoiymeriseres. De hydrofile vinylmonomerer har hensiktsmessig en løselighet i vann ved 20°C på minst 20 g/l. Aktiveringen av substratet finner sted fortrinnsvis ved UV-stråler i bølgelengdeområdet på 100 nm til 400 nm eller ved høyfrekvens- eller mikrobølgeplasma. Podepolymeriseringen induseres fordelaktig ved UV-stråler i bølgelengdeområdet på 260 nm til 500 nm. De hydrofilt skiktlagte substrater egner seg blant annet til anvendelse for tekniske, medisinke eller biotekniske formål.
