Abstract

Krystalloptisk interferensfllter med periodisk gjennomslipningsområde, især for bølgelengdemultipleksdrift av optiske nett innenfor telekommunikasjonen, såvel som en fremgangsmåte for aktiv tilpasning til det spektrale gjennomslippsområde for et slikt interferensfllter. Interferensfilteret består i det minste av et dobbeltbrytende element (l, l', 5, 5') såvel som en ved dens utgang anordnet polarisator (2, 2', 7, 7') idet det dobbeltbrytende elementet er et kvikksølv(I)halogenid-enkeltkrystall (Hg2Cl2, Hg2Br2, Hg2J2). Faller lys med en vilkårlig spektral sammensetning på det dobbeltbrytende elementet, men i en definert polarisasjonstilstand, så blir de enkelte spektralkomponentene kodet med en definert polarisasjon av det dobbeltbrytende elementet og kan så bølgelengdeavhengig utfiltreres ved hjelp av utgangspolarisatoren (2, 2', 7, 7'). Interferensfilteret har en periodisk gjennomslipningskarakteristikk. Ved hjelp av ytterligere i strålebanen anordnede elektrooptiske forsinkelseselementer (4) er det mulig med en kontinuerlig gjennomstrømning av gjennomstrømnings- karakteristikken. Kanalavstandene i området av en nanometer kan ved anvendelse av kvikksølv(I)halogenid-enkeltkrystaller allerede realiseres med dobbeltbrytende plater med en tykkelse på noen få millimeter.
