Abstract

En direkte digital frekvenssyntheziser inneholdende en mo-duloakkumulator (17, 117) som adresserer en multiplekser (33, 133). Multiplekseren mottar en serie forsinkelses-signaler generert av digitale kretser (41-45, 141-153). Forsinkelsessignalene etablerer fasen til en referanse-oscillator (37, 137). Antallet enheter forsinkelse er tilstrekkelig til å oppløse forventet skjelving (jitter). Akkumulatoren er en digital teller som øker med bare ett enkelt tall for hver telling, slik som en Gray-kodeteller.
