Description

Wynalazek niniejszy dotyczy wytwa¬ rzania weglowodorów. Zostanie on wyja¬ sniony w niniejszym opisie. Mielenie mozna uskuteczniac w mlynie ru¬ rowym, najwlasciwiej z dodatkiem wody w ilosci wystarczajacej do otrzymania plyn¬ nego mulku, czyli zawiesiny mialko roz- drobionegol wegla. Otrzymane w ten spo¬ sób zgrezy oczyszcza sie, nadajac im w odpowiedniem naczyniu niezbyt szybki ruch ku górze, wystarczajacy do utrzyma¬ nia w zawiesinie oraz przenoszenia czaste¬ czek wegla, poctczas gdy ciezsze stosunko¬ wo czastki popiolu, siarczku i t. d. opada¬ ja na dno zbiornika, skad je mozna usuwac bez przerwy albo co pewien czas. Obro¬ biony w ten sposób napól czysty materjal zawiesiny weglowej w srodowisku wod- nem miesza sie nastepnie z olejem weglo¬ wodorowym w ilosci np. 25—50% ciezaru czastek wegla zawartych w zawiesinie.Mieszanie uskutecznia sie w odpowiednichurzadzeniach, Jak np. mieszalniku lo¬ patkowym albo w bebnie, zaopatrzonym w mieszadlo srubowe, ltfb tez w urzadzenie, w którem mieszanie uskutecznia sprezone powietrze i t. d. Zaleca sie staranne poruszanie albo ogrzewanie mieszaniny weglisto-ole- jowej, aby zapewnic dokladne jej zetknie¬ cie z wodorem. Ogrzewanie stosuje sie do¬ póty, az sie mieszanina spieni, czyli az do zemulgowania mieszaniny weglisto-olejo- wej. Zazwyczaj mozna w ten spo¬ sób otrzymac weglowodory, nadajace sie jako paliwo silnikowe, oleje do oswietla¬ nia, jaW równiez weglowodory ciezkie, i weglowodory gazowe. Aczkolwiek opis wynalazku zawiera pewne szczególy specyficzne, to jednak — 2 —sluza one jedynie w celu dokladniejszego wyjasnienia istoty wynalazku, w zakresie którego mozna stosowac rózne zmiany. PL PLThe present invention relates to the production of hydrocarbons. This will be explained in the present description. Proposals have already been made to produce mixtures of oil and crushed coal or other preparations. However, these mixtures were not suitable for all purposes, contained little hydrogen, and upon distillation yielded abundant unsaturated compounds. In the practical implementation of the present invention, the coal is first crushed to a grain size that passes through a sieve with 1500-6000 meshes per cm². For this purpose, fines, slag, or other types of coal can be used, which due to their fineness or significant ash content have less commercial value. Grinding can be performed in a tube mill, preferably with the addition of sufficient water to obtain a liquid slurry, i.e., a suspension of finely divided coal. The resulting sludge is cleaned by causing it to move upwards at a moderate speed in a suitable vessel, sufficient to maintain the coal particles in suspension and transport them, while the relatively heavier particles of ash, sulfide, etc., fall to the bottom of the container, from where they can be removed continuously or periodically. The semi-pure coal suspension material, treated in this way, is then mixed in an aqueous medium with hydrocarbon oil in an amount of, for example, 25-50% of the weight of the coal particles contained in the suspension. The mixing is carried out in suitable devices, such as a paddle mixer or a drum equipped with a screw mixer, or in a device in which the mixing is effected by compressed air, etc. By mixing, the oil combines with the coal particles, forming an oily plastic mass with particles of coal material dispersed in it; this mass floats on the surface of the water, from which it can be separated, while the ash usually remains as a suspension in the water or falls to the bottom of the vessel. During this period, if necessary, further oil can be added. water to facilitate the separation of ash particles from the plastic mass or their removal from the tank. From the mixer, the materials are discharged into settling tanks of any design; from these settling tanks, the settled ash particles and water are discharged from the bottom, and from the top—the plastic oil mass with carbon particles dispersed therein. Similar products can be obtained according to U.S. Patent No. 1,420,165. As a result of processing this first stage of the method according to the invention, a carbon paste is obtained with a desired degree of plasticity or fluidity, depending on the amount of oil added, and not containing a higher percentage of ash or water. This mixture, optionally with the addition of hydrocarbon oil, is treated in a suitable tank with hydrogen or a gas containing free hydrogen; this process is carried out under considerable pressure, e.g., 50-200 atm. If necessary, a catalyst such as molybdenum oxide, chromium oxide, or cadmium sulfide can be used, but usually at the pressure indicated above, special catalysts can be dispensed with. If necessary, heating to approximately 400-560°C can also be used; however, the temperature always depends on the properties of the material being treated and can vary considerably. It is recommended to carefully agitate or heat the coal-oil mixture to ensure its thorough contact with the hydrogen. Heating is applied until the mixture foams, i.e., until the coal-oil mixture is emulsified. After several hours, e.g., 3-9 hours, the products are removed from the tank. pressure and used for heating, either directly or mixed with another combustible oil. It is most advantageous to subject similar products to hydrogenation by stripping, the distillation being carried out in a hydrogenation tank, or in a suitable distillation apparatus or retort, in order to strip out the volatile products to the desired degree. Typically, hydrocarbons suitable as motor fuels, illuminating oils, as well as heavy hydrocarbons and gaseous hydrocarbons can be obtained in this way. By conducting the distillation at a sufficiently high temperature, the yield of products, which are normally gaseous under normal conditions, increases; if a high yield of similar products is desired, this process is advantageous in that compounds obtained are predominantly saturated. Similarly, by conducting distillation so as to achieve the maximum yield of hydrocarbons for motor fuel, the products obtained are predominantly saturated, and therefore the losses are lower than in conventional refining methods. Besides the bituminous coal mentioned above, all kinds of coal, coke residues, etc., can be used as the carbonaceous material; in particular, the coked residues of the final distillation described above are excellently suited for processing with oil in subsequent operations. Although the description of the invention contains certain specific details, they serve only to more precisely explain the essence of the invention, within the scope of which various variations are possible.
