Description

Przedmiotem wynalazku jest arkusz do wykony¬ wania zapisów oraz sposób wytwarzania arkusza do wykonywania zapisów.Uklady barwiace stosowane w materiale do za¬ pisywania poprzez nacisk zawieraja zwykle zasad¬ niczo bezbarwna substancje barwotwórcza, wywo¬ lywacz barwy zdolny do reakcji z substancja bar¬ wotwórcza w celu wytworzenia zabarwienia i roz¬ puszczalnik, w którym zachodzi reakcja barwna. Zastosowanie nacisku podczas uzycia powoduje pekanie tych mikrokapsulek poddawanych takiemu naciskowi i w konsewencji uwolnienie roztworu w rozpuszczalniku. Nastepuje skontaktowanie sie oby¬ dwóch skladników barwiacych i powstanie barwne¬ go obrazu, bedacego dokladnym odtworzeniem za¬ stosowanego nacisku. Tym sposobem material do za¬ pisywania poprzez nacisk mozna uzyc do sporzadza¬ nia kopii, bez koniecznosci stosowania jakiejkolwiek kalki.Reaktywne skladniki barwiace i rozpuszczalnik moga byc w rózny sposób rozmieszczone w mate¬ riale do zapisywania. JaTRtolwiek ~w literaturze znajduja sie wzmianki o róznych substancjach barwotwórczych, jedyna sub¬ stancja stosowana rzeczywiscie jest opisany w bry- 20 tyjskim opisie patentowym nr 1 337 924 lakton fio¬ letu krystalicznego (CVL, 3,3Hbis-(p-dwumetyloami- nofenylo)-6-dwumetyloaminoftalid). Stanowiacy przedmiot wynalazku arkusz do wy¬ konywania zapisów nadaje sie do stosowania w sys¬ temie odwróconym d charakteryzuje sie ulepszony- 35 mi wlasciwosciami wymienionymi powyzej. W rezultacie mozna otrzymac mieszanine do zastosowania w arkuszu do wykonywania zapisów, w której przewaza bardziej skuteczny izomer 5-keto.W reakcji z wywolywaczem barwy blekit pirydylo¬ wy daje barwe niebieska. Pigment taki stanowi równiez przed¬ miot wynalazku. Jezeli arkusz do wykonywania zapisów stosuje sie w scalonym systemie zapisu, w którym obydwa skladniki baorwiace znajduja sie w powloce, to wte¬ dy preparat do powlekania winien takze zawierac mikrokapsulkowany roztwór wywolywacza barwy w rozpuszczalniku.Wywolywaczem barwy moze byc dowolnym wywo¬ lywacz znany w technologii produkcji materialów do zapisywania poprzez nacisk, lecz oczywiscie musi byc rozpuszcazlny w rozpuszczalniku oraz musi wy¬ wolywac barwe blekitu pirydylowego. Przyklad I. The coloring systems used in the pressure-recording material typically comprise a substantially colorless color-forming substance, a color developer capable of reacting with the color-forming substance to produce a color, and a solvent in which the color reaction occurs. The reactive components of the coloring system are kept separate from each other until the moment of use, which is typically achieved by microencapsulating a solution of one of the components in a solvent. The application of pressure during use causes these microcapsules to rupture under such pressure, thereby releasing the solution in the solvent. This brings the two coloring components into contact, creating a color image that is an exact reproduction of the applied pressure. In this way, the pressure-recording material can be used to make copies without the need for carbon paper. The reactive coloring agents and solvent can be arranged in various ways in the recording material. In one method, called a transfer recording system, a solution of one of the coloring agents in microcapsules is coated on one side of a sheet (CB sheet), while the other coloring agent is coated on another sheet (CF sheet). A duplicating set is formed from a pair of sheets so that the coatings adhere to each other so that applying pressure to the uncoated side of the CB sheet releases and transfers the solution to the CF recording sheet, where the color reaction occurs. The duplicating set may also include one or more intermediate sheets (CFB sheets) that have a coating of the microencapsulated solution on one side and a coating of a second coloring agent on the other side. In this way, further copies can be obtained if the sheets are properly arranged to transfer the solution to the CF or CFB recording sheets. In another method, called an integrated system, a microencapsulated solution of one of the coloring agents is mixed with the second coloring agent and incorporated into the sheet or coated on one side. When pressure is applied to the recording sheet, the solution releases the stigma and reacts with the second coloring agent, creating a colored image on the sheet that reflects the applied pressure. In both the transfer recording system and the integrated system, the coloring agent (which is in the form of a microencapsulated solution) is usually a color-forming substance because it is usually more sensitive to destruction by atmospheric agents than the color developer. However, recently, British Patent Application No. 1337924 describes a recording sheet, i.e., a sheet on which a color reaction takes place, covered with a coating of a water-insoluble, practically chemically inert pigment, on which an essentially colorless, basic color-forming substance capable of reacting with a color developer is sorbed. Adsorption on the pigment stabilizes the color-forming substance against the unfavorable effects of pigments and thus enables the sheet to be used in an inverse system, in which the developer, but not the color-forming substance, is subjected to the microencapsulation operation in a solvent. Although there are references in the literature to various color-forming substances, the only substance actually used is described in British Patent No. 1,337,924, crystal violet lactone (CVL, 3,3-bis-(p-dimethylamino)- (phenyl)-6-dimethylaminophthalide). The use of this substance makes it possible to obtain a sheet which is excellently suited for use in a reversal system, but which has a number of properties requiring further improvement. These properties include the intensity of the developed color image (image intensity), the fade resistance of the image (fade resistance), and the resistance of the adsorbed color-forming substance to the adverse effects of atmospheric agents. The recording sheet of the invention is suitable for use in a reversal system and is characterized by the improved properties mentioned above. Thus, the invention provides a recording sheet, preferably with a paper base, which sheet has one side coated with a coating of a water-insoluble, substantially a chemically inert pigment, preferably calcium carbonate, with a color-forming substance adsorbed on this pigment, wherein the side of the sheet coated with a pigment coating or the side of the sheet not coated with a pigment coating is coated with a color-developer solution in the form of pressure-burstable microcapsules, or wherein this solution is distributed inside the sheet, wherein the color-developer is preferably an acidic novolac resin, especially a p-phenyl-phenol-formaldehyde resin or a p-octyl-phenol-formaldehyde resin. A feature of the airknob according to the invention is that the color-forming substance is pyridyl blue of the formula Ia and/or Ib. The use of pyridyl blue improves the resistance of the sheet for making recordings according to the invention to the unfavorable effects of atmospheric factors and enables the production of an image of improved intensity and resistance to fading while maintaining all the advantageous features of a sheet for making recordings for use in the inverted system. Pyridyl blue is a new color-forming substance occurring in the form of two isomers of the formulas Ia (5-(1-ethyl-2-methylindol-3-yl)-5-(4-diethylamino-2-ethoxyphenyl-7H-keto-5,7-dihydrofurano[3,4-b]pyridine) and/or Ib (7-(1-ethyl-2-methylindol-3-yl)-5-(4-diethylamino-2-ethoxyphenyl-7H-keto-5,7-dihydrofurano[3,4-b]pyridine) (e.g., tylindolyl-3(-7-(4-dimethylamino-2-ethoxyphenyl)-5-keto-5,7-dihydrofurano[3,4-b]pyridine). Either of these two isomers can be used in a colorant, although the 5-keto isomer is more effective. However, the processes that can be used to synthesize pyridyl blue (see, for example, British Patent No. 1,367,567 and U.S. Patent No. 3,775,424) give a mixture of nine isomers, and the separation of one isomer from the mixture by traditional methods (e.g., chromatography) is difficult, time-consuming, and expensive. Therefore, it is more appropriate to use the mixture and to use a synthetic method for its preparation in which Conditions were selected to primarily form the 5-keto isomer. This resulted in a mixture for use in a recording sheet in which the more effective 5-keto isomer predominates. Pyridyl blue reacts with a color developer to produce a blue color. Examples of water-insoluble, essentially chemically neutral pigments include calcium carbonate, zinc oxide, barium sulfate, titanium oxide, barium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, calcium oxide, magnesium titanium, and zinc sulfide, preferably calcium carbonate. In a transfer recording system, a CF sheet is used as the recording sheet, or it is coated on the reverse side with a color developer solution in the form of pressure-burstable microcapsules to obtain a CFB sheet. In an integrated system The recording sheet has a plastic or preferably paper base. The invention also relates to a method for producing a recording sheet, according to which a color-forming substance is adsorbed onto a water-insoluble, essentially chemically inert pigment, preferably calcium carbonate, after which the pigment is mixed with an aqueous solution of a carrier and a binder, preferably starch or styrene-butadiene latex, and the resulting mixture is coated onto a sheet, preferably a paper sheet, preferably using a Mayer roll or an air knife. A feature of the method according to the invention is that a blue-white is used as the color-forming substance. The method of carrying out the adsorption of pyridyl blue on the pigment does not constitute a limitation of the invention, provided that the pyridyl blue must be adsorbed in a colorless form. Methods that can be used include passing a solution of pyridyl blue through a bed of pigment, similarly to chromatographic operations, and precipitating pyridyl blue from solution in the presence of the pigment using any precipitation method known in chemistry. Typical methods include, for example, diluting the pyridyl blue solution with a solution that is miscible with the solution but does not dissolve pyridyl blue, chemical neutralization of an acidic aqueous solution of pyridyl blue, cooling hot pyridyl blue solution and evaporation of the solvent from the pyridyl blue solution. Each of these methods produces a water-insoluble, practically chemically inert pigment containing pyridyl blue adsorbed thereon. Such a pigment is also the subject of the invention. The sheet coating formulation containing the pigment with pyridyl blue adsorbed thereon is applied by any of the well-known methods used in the manufacture of pressure-recording materials. For example, the Mayer roller method or the air knife method can be used. The coating formulation itself is usually hydrated and contains a binder such as styrene-butadiene latex and/or starch. In addition, it may contain small amounts of conventional paper coating components, for example, wetting agents and antifoaming agents. Further information regarding coating formulations and coating methods for use in the method of the present invention can be obtained from U.S. Patent Nos. 3,627,581, 3,775,524 and 3,853,869. However, in applying the teachings therein to the method of the invention, it should be taken into account that when the recording sheet is used in a transfer recording system, a pigment-containing preparation with pyridyl blue adsorbed thereon should be used to coat the CF sheet or the CF side of a CFB sheet. In contrast, a microencapsulated solution of color developer in a solvent should be used to coat the CB sheet or the CB side of a CFB sheet. CFB. As mentioned earlier, this is the reverse arrangement of the pressure-recording material normally used in production. If the recording sheet is used in a combined recording system in which both color-reducing components are in the coating, then the coating preparation should also contain a microencapsulated solution of a color developer in a solvent. The color developer can be any developer known in pressure-recording material technology, but it must, of course, be solvent-soluble and must develop the color of pyridyl blue. Suitable color developers include, for example, an acidic novolac resin, such as polyphenol-formaldehyde resin or polyoxyethylene resin. The solvent for the acid resin color developer may be any solvent used in the technology of producing pressure-recordable materials. Preferred solvents include, for example, benzyl ether, "Magmafhuc" oil (which is an oil containing saturated hydrocarbons with a distillation point of 188-260°C), benzyl benzoate, 2,2,4-trimethyl-1,3-pentanediol diisobutyrate (TXIS disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 4,027,065), butyl phthalate, 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene, ethyldiphenylmethane (U.S. Pat. No. 3,996,405), alkylbenzene in which the alkyl group contains from 11 to 200 12 carbon atoms and isopropyl diphenyl (U.S. Pat. No. 3,627,581). Most preferred, however, is a mixed solvent comprising benzyl ether and "Magnaflux" oil. Microcapsules for the acid resin based solvent color developer solution can be prepared from gelatin as described in U.S. Pat. No. 3,041,389, from a urea-formaldehyde polymer as described in U.S. Pat. No. 4,001,140, capsules with polyvinyl alcohol walls filled with resorcinol and formaldehyde as described in U.S. Pat. No. 3,755,190, or from various other The invention is illustrated by the following examples: Example 1.
