Heliostat sferyczny ma przeźroczystą obudowę (1) o kształcie sferycznym wewnątrz której zamocowane jest zwierciadło płaskie (3) i magnetyczny element mocujący do obrotowego połączenia obudowy (1) z podstawą (2) heliostatu zawierającą mechanizm napędowy (7) w postaci mechanizmu zegara wskazówkowego i magnes trwały osadzony na obrotowym trzpieniu mechanizmu napędowego (7).
