Fig. 1, 4 i 5 przedstawiaja przekroje pretów, fig. 2 i 3 — pret wedlug fig. PL PL3^a, */ Vs\P Bars for mesh trusses used in roof or wall construction, made of sheet metal, usually have a U- or Z-shaped cross-section, with the bar edges additionally bent or folded to achieve even greater stiffness. Manufacturing such bars requires many operations and often sequential bending of the material in both directions, which can easily adversely affect the material's strength. The present invention involves the use of bars whose edges have double bends, i.e., the edges are folded again. A rod with such a profile can be made in one piece, i.e. with a double bend and a flat end of the rod, enabling the rods to be joined with a single punch of a seam maker or a single press stroke. The production of such rods is therefore significantly simplified and does not expose the material to harmful stresses. An additional bend of the 3 edges on the outside can be made at an angle greater than 90°, as shown in Fig. 5, which then produces not a standing edge, but a wide rim that does not tear or break so easily in those places that are most crushed or stretched when bending. The drawing shows several cross-sections of rods made according to the present invention. Fig. 1, 4 and 5 show cross-sections of bars, figs. 2 and 3 show the bar according to fig. 1 in a top view. The bar shown in fig. 1 is made in such a way that it has a U-shaped cross-section, i.e. it consists of a flat central part 1 and two bent edges 2, which in turn bend outwards again, so that additional edge bends 3 are created, preventing the bends 2 from kinking. The cross-section is shaped in such a way that the outwardly bent edges 3 are parallel to the main bends, as a result of which the bar can be made from flat sheet metal with a flat end 4 (figs. 2 and 3) at the ends 5 of the bar, enabling their fixing with a single press movement. The rod shown in Fig. 4 has edges 2 bent in opposite directions so that its profile has a Z-shape, which is advantageous both in bending and in buckling loads. The strength of such a rod is further increased by additional bends 3 of edges 2. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 5, the central part of the rod / is inclined in relation to the bent edges so that the edges of the rod bent on both sides are above each other. The additional bends 3 are bent so tightly that they are parallel to the main bends 2. In this design, the outer fibers of the material, stretched and crushed, are not located on a free-standing edge, but in a flat strip of sheet metal, in which the stresses are distributed evenly over almost its entire width, as a result of which such an edge is less exposed to tearing or crushing, and therefore the strength of the bar is greater.
