The essence of the industrial design is a new form of jewellery, manifested by the use of coal as a decorative element and its combination with a base made of precious or semi-precious metal, preferably silver. Each piece of the ring, made by hand, becomes unique. The uniqueness of each piece results from the material used – coal – a fragile and “living” material. Each lump of coal, due to its chipping from a larger stone block, has a unique shape and original appearance. The industrial design submitted for protection has been presented in an example of its execution in the illustration, in a general view. The essential feature of the industrial design shown in the illustration – the ring – is that: – the shape and material from which it was made are as shown in the illustration.
