The subject of the invention is the 1,2-bis (9,9-dibutylfluoren-2-yl) benzo [1,2-j] coronene derivative and the method of its preparation.

Gdy chodzi o wykorzystanie cykloaddycji, to znana jest cykloaddycja bezwodnika maleinowego i N-podstawionych maleimidów, prowadząca do pochodnych koronenu [K. V. Rao, S. J. George: Synthesis and Controllable Self-Assembly of a Novel Coronene Bisimide Amphiphile, Org. Lett., 12, 2656-2659, (2010)] czy też azadikarboksylanów do perylenu prowadząca do pochodnych diazakoronenu [S. Tokita, K. Hiruta, K. Kitahara, H. Nishi: Diels-Alder Reaction of Dialkyl Diazenedicarboxylates with Perylenes; A New Synthesis of Polycyclic Aromatic Pyridazines, Synthesis, 3, 229-231, (1982)]. Również cykloaddycja N-podstawionych pochodnych 1,2,4-triazolinodionu do perylenu lub pochodnych perylenobisimidu prowadzi do pochodnych tetraazakoronenu [C. Goltner, D. Pressner, K. Mullen, H. W. J. Org. Chem., 2000, 365-380, (2000)].Koronen, and in particular its derivatives, including π-extended perylene bisimides, have long been used in organic electronics as photo- and electroactive materials [H. Seyler, B. Purushothaman, D. J. Jones, A. B. Holmes, W. W. H. Wong: Hexa-peri-hexabenzocoronene in organic electronics, Pure Appl. Chem., 84, 1047-1067, (2012); Z. Zhu, J. -Q. Xu, C. -C. Chueh, H. Liu, Z. Li, X. Li, H. Chen, A. K. -Y. Jen: A Low-Temperature, Solution-Processable Organic Electron-Transporting Layer Based on Planar Coronene for High-performance Conventional Perovskite Solar Cells, Adv. Cortizo-Lacalle, A. Saeki, M. Melle-Franco, A. Mateo-Alonso: Giant Star-Shaped Nitrogen-Doped Nanographenes, Angew. Chem., 131, 562-566, (2019)]. Various chemical reactions are used in the synthesis of coronene derivatives - halogenation, coupling, cycloaddition, dehydrocondensation and others. As for the use of cycloaddition, cycloaddition of maleic anhydride and N-substituted maleimides is known, leading to coronene derivatives [K. V. Rao, S. J. George: Synthesis and Controllable Self-Assembly of a Novel Coronene Bisimide Amphiphile, Org. Lett., 12, 2656-2659, (2010)] or azadicarboxylates to perylene leading to diazacoronene derivatives [S. Tokita, K. Hiruta, K. Kitahara, H. Nishi: Diels-Alder Reaction of Dialkyl Diazenedicarboxylates with Perylenes; A New Synthesis of Polycyclic Aromatic Pyridazines, Synthesis, 3, 229-231, (1982)]. Also, the cycloaddition of N-substituted 1,2,4-triazolinedione derivatives to perylene or perylene bisimide derivatives leads to tetraazacoronene derivatives [C. Goltner, D. Pressner, K. Mullen, H. W. Spiess: "Liquid-Crystalline Perylene Derivatives as" Discotic Pigments ", Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. Engl., 32, 1660-1662, (1993); P. Schlichting, U. Rohr, K. J. Org. Chem., 2000, 365-380, (2000)].

The coronene derivative object of the present invention is not known in the art. Moreover, the cycloaddition reaction of gasoline (and other aryines) to benzoperylene and its derivatives is also unknown. The system for generating gasoline is also innovative, namely cesium fluoride in a mixture of 1,2-dicyanoethane (succinonitrile) with 1,2-dimethoxyethane - the solvent mixture is an innovation. As the tests have shown, this mixture is extremely effective when it comes to generating gasoline, which ensures a very good result of the subsequent cycloaddition. When the standard solution was used, i.e. cesium fluoride in acetonitrile or in the acetonitrile THF mixture, the reaction result was much worse: very low product yield despite the long reaction time and increasing the reaction temperature to 80 ° C (usually in this solvent system, i.e. MeCN-THF, reactions are carried out at a temperature of 60 ° C).

Tak niezwykły efekt, gdy chodzi o wynik reakcjiThe synthetic solution presented in the present invention is not obvious - it was preceded by research into various methods of generating gasoline from a commercially available precursor, i.e. 2-trimethylsilylphenyl triflate. Various reaction conditions were tested (aryne generation and subsequent cycloaddition and aromatization of the cycloadduct). The molar proportions of the reactants, the solvents used as well as the temperature and time of the reaction as well as the method of adding the arynine precursor to the reaction were manipulated. A particularly important, even the most important element of the novelty is the use of a mixture of succinonitrile (1,2-dicyanoethane) with 1,2-dimethoxyethane, a fully innovative solvent system, instead of the commonly used acetonitrile or acetonitrile-THF mixture. The benefits of using this system to generate gasoline are spectacular: compared to the standard gasoline generation system, i.e. CsF in MeCN or THF + MeCN, the product yield was low, despite numerous attempts to extend the reaction time, raise the reaction temperature, increase the excess gasoline precursor, etc. Moreover, succinonitrile is practically non-volatile, unlike volatile and toxic acetonitrile. Such a remarkable effect when it comes to the result of the reaction

PL 238 585 Β1 po zmianie rozpuszczalnika, nie jest przypadkowy. Naszym zdaniem to efekt chelatowania jonu cezu przez sukcynonitryl, co zwiększa reaktywność anionu fluorkowego.PL 238 585 Β1 after changing the solvent is not accidental. In our opinion, this is the effect of succinonitrile chelating the cesium ion, which increases the reactivity of the fluoride anion.

Preferably, the gasoline precursor in the form of 2-trimethylsilylphenyl triflate is introduced into the reaction mixture by dropwise addition, at a rate of not more than 20 mmoles per minute, preferably 2 mmoles per minute. Dropwise addition of the reagent slowly is preferable to the sudden introduction of the entire amount for kinetic reasons. Namely, it makes it possible to avoid side reactions, especially subsequent ones, which worsen the yield of the expected product.
