Description

Wynalazek niniejszy dotyczy sposobu wytwarzania srodków wykazujacych o- prócz energicznego dzialania antyseptycz- nego i dezynfekcyjnego cenne dzialanie lecznicze. Szcze¬ gólnie odpowiednia okazala sie sól szescio- -metyleno-czteroaminy i kwasu heksylo- -rezorcyno-sulfonowego. Sulfonowanie he- ksylo-rezorcyny mozna przeprowadzac zwydajnoscia prawie równa teoretycznej za pomoca wszelkich znanych srodków sulfonujacych, np. £rzez traktowanie ste¬ zonym kwasem4 siarkowym. Przyklad II. 100 g kapronylo-rezor- cyny rozpuszcza sie w 150 g stezonego kwasu siarkowego i utrzymuje w ciagu o- kolo 8 godzin w temperaturze okolo 60°C.Nastepnie po ostygnieciu wytworzona kry¬ staliczna mase zalewa sie woda, roztwór w celu usuniecia malej ilosci niezmienionej kapronylo-rezorcyny wyciaga sie eterem i wodnista ciecz, zawierajaca jeszcze wolny kwas siarkowy, energicznie mieszajac, traktuje sie w temperaturze wrzenia w cia¬ gu 6 — 8 godzin pylkiem cynkowym. Przesacz po weglanie barowym dopro¬ wadza sie do suchosci i otrzymuje sie he- ksylo-rezorcyno-sulfonian potasowy.Przyklad III. PLThe present invention relates to a process for the preparation of agents which exhibit, in addition to a vigorous antiseptic and disinfectant action, a valuable curative effect. Hexylresorcinol is itself an antiseptic. However, it has the big disadvantage that it is very poorly soluble in water and therefore cannot be used in most cases. It has now surprisingly been discovered that if hexyl-resorcinol was converted to a water-soluble form, it obtained There are agents showing a valuable healing effect and, moreover, a very strong antiseptic and disinfecting effect. This solubilization in water can be achieved by sulfonating hexylresorcinol in such a way that capronylresorcinol is first sulfonated and the resulting capronylsulfonic acid is converted by reduction to hexylresorcinosulfonic acid. Hexyl-resorcinol-sulfonic acid can then be converted into organic or inorganic salts, also very easily dissolving in water. The salt of hexylresorcinol sulfonic acid has proved to be particularly suitable. The sulfonation of hexylresorcinol can be carried out with an efficiency almost equal to the theoretical one by any known sulfonating agent, for example by treatment with concentrated sulfuric acid. The reduction of the capronyl-resorcinol-sulphonic acid can be carried out with the usual reducing agents. The resulting products, namely both free acids and their salts, above all have a significant therapeutic effect, namely a specific action in in the case of gingivitis (inflammation of the gums) and stomatitis (inflammation of the oral mucosa), both side effects of paradentosis, and of the latter condition. A solution containing 0.1% of the above-mentioned salt can immediately act deadly on bacteria causing purulent inflammation (staphylococci, streptococci and pyocyneus) and on bacterium coli. This kind of action was, however, impossible to predict. In addition, they also have an antiseptic effect which is much greater than that of hexyl resorcinol. Thus, solutions containing the same amount of potassium hexyl resorcinol sulfonate in place of hexylresorcinol may have a lethal effect on bacterium pyocyaneum (blue oil) in as little as 5 minutes instead of 45 minutes. L 100 g of hexylresorcinol is dissolved in 100 g of concentrated sulfuric acid with good stirring. After standing for 24 hours, the mass, which has solidified to a crystalline slurry, dissolves in the water and the solution is neutralized with calcium carbonate. From the liquid, which has been drained of calcium sulphate, the lime is turned into potassium carbonate and evaporated to dryness. The remainder is the potassium salt of hexyl resorcinol sulfonic acid. Example II. 100 g of capronyl-resorcinol are dissolved in 150 g of concentrated sulfuric acid and kept for about 8 hours at a temperature of about 60 ° C. Then, after cooling, the crystalline mass produced is flooded with water, the solution to remove a small amount of unchanged Capronyl-resorcinol is extracted with ether, and the aqueous liquid, still containing free sulfuric acid, is treated with zinc pollen while stirring vigorously for 6 to 8 hours. After cooling, most of the zinc sulphate is released, from which the liquid is drained. Zinc and the sulfuric acid still present are lost from the filtrate and the zinc hydroxide and barium sulphate removed from the filtrate and treated with a slight excess of potassium carbonate in order to remove the barium. The barium carbonate is dried and the potassium hexyl resorcinol sulphonate is obtained. Example III. The aqueous solution of hexyl-resorcinol-sulfonic acid obtained according to Example 1 and still containing free sulfuric acid is added hot with barium hydroxide or barium carbonate at the boiling point until it almost no longer contains sulfuric acid. The siphon is drawn out with ether to remove a small amount of unchanged starting material, and then the equivalent amount of hexamethylene-tetraamine (1 mol) is dissolved in it (after determining the degree of acidity). The residue obtained after evaporation of the water in a vacuum is hexylresorcinol sulphonate hexomethylene tetraamine, which forms thick crystals that easily dissolve in water and dilute alcohol.
