Abstract

A packaging for transporting hazardous materials in one or more containers is disclosed. Said packaging includes a box (1) made of a semi-rigid material such as cardboard; at least one module (2) made of a semi-rigid material such as cardboard and including at least four side interconnected walls (12, 13, 14, 15), said module (2) having a substantially rectangular cross-section and being arranged inside said box (1) and spaced from the walls (4, 5, 6, 7) thereof, while said containers are arranged inside the module; and a filler material made of expanded phyllosilicates, preferably expanded vermiculite, which fills all of the remaining space inside said box (1) and said module (2) containing said hazardous material containers. The production of cardboard packagings, and the use thereof, particularly for packaging hazardous chemicals, are also disclosed.
