Abstract
Przedmiotem wynalazku jest sposób wytwarzania porowatych sorbentów weglowych, majacych zastosowanie zwlaszcza do oczyszczania powietrza, wody i gazów przemyslowych, do odzyskiwania rozpuszczalników, czy rozdzielania gazów lub mieszanin cieklych. Sposób polega na uzyciu do karbonizacji porowatych, polimerów usieciowanych w postaci mikrosfer, zawierajacych pierscienie aromatyczne, obnizajace jego palnosc i sprzyjajace utworzeniu stabilnej termicznie struktury weglowej, a takze tlenowe i/lub azotowe grupy funkcyjne niezdolne do wymiany jonowej, zwlaszcza karbonylowe, imidowe, estrowe lub eterowe. Prekursory takie, aktywowane sa solami w postaci hydratów, maksymalnie wypelniajacymi pory impregnowanych polimerów w czasie krystalizacji, dzieki czemu po karbonizacji wegle porowate uzyskuja duza powierzchnie wlasciwa i strukture mezoporów o jednorodnej wielkosci. The subject of the invention is a process for the production of porous carbon sorbents, which are used in particular for the purification of air, water and industrial gases, for solvent recovery, or for the separation of gases or liquid mixtures. The method involves the use of carbonized porous polymers, cross-linked in the form of microspheres, containing aromatic rings, reducing their flammability and conducive to the formation of a thermally stable carbon structure, as well as oxygen and / or nitrogen functional groups not capable of ion exchange, especially carbonyl, imide, ester or ether. Such precursors are activated with salts in the form of hydrates, maximally filling the pores of the impregnated polymers during crystallization, thanks to which, after carbonization of porous wate, they obtain a large surface area and a structure of mesopores of uniform size. Oxidizing substances released during the decomposition of salts, e.g. free chlorine, carbon dioxide, nitric acid, acetates and acetic acid or acetone, release the porous structure from oily and tar substances, which also increases the surface area of the sorbent and its pore volume. Additionally, in the oxidation process, functional groups are formed on the surface of the coal product, which, together with the metals embedded permanently in the sorbent structure, improve the sorption capacity with respect to chemical substances with a specific affinity. The ferromagnetic properties of the salt cations used for impregnation allow them to be removed from the reaction medium by means of a magnet. The ability to desorb sorbent compounds, mainly due to homogeneity in the field of mesopores, enables its reuse for sorption.
