Jako substrat stosuje sie trans, trans-5-jodo-4-metylo-6-(2-metylopropylo)tetrahydro-2H-piran-2-on. Zwiazki te wykazuja interesujace wlasciwosci zapachowe dzieki czemu moga znalezc zastosowanie w przemysle kosmetycznym oraz spozywczym.The invention relates to a method for the production of (-)-trans-5-(1-hydroxy-3-methylbutyl)-4-methyltetrahydrofuran-2-one of the formula 2 by microbial dehydrohalogenation and translactonization of a substrate, using an enzymatic system of Candida pelliculosa yeast . Trans, trans-5-iodo-4-methyl-6-(2-methylpropyl)tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-one is used as the substrate. These compounds have interesting fragrance properties, thanks to which they can be used in the cosmetics and food industries.
