Sposób matowienia powierzchni puszek metalowych metodą szczotkowania, charakteryzuje się tym, że puszkę (1a) po wytłoczeniu i umyciu osadza się na trzpieniu (3) i matowi się jej powierzchnię przy zastosowaniu co najmniej jednej szczotki płaskiej lub okrągłej (2), wykonanej z drutu metalowego lub tworzywa sztucznego, a po zmatowieniu poddaje się ją dalszej obróbce. Przedmiotem wynalazku jest także urządzenie do matowienia powierzchni puszek.
