Wynalazek dotyczy nowego związku 5-hydroksy-5-metylo-6-pentylotetrahydropiran-2-onu, o wzorze 2 oraz sposobu jego otrzymywania na drodze transformacji mikrobiologicznej 3,4-dihydro-5-metylo-6-pentylopiran-2-onu o wzorze 1, za pomocą systemu enzymatycznego grzyba strzępkowego Fusarium culmorum AM10. 5-Hydroksy-5-metylo-6-pentylotetrahydropiran-2-on, o wzorze 2, może znaleźć zastosowanie jako deterent pokarmowy w stosunku do szkodliwych gatunków owadów.The invention relates to a new 5-hydroxy-5-methyl-6-pentyltetrahydropyran-2-one compound, formula II and a method for its preparation by microbial transformation of 3,4-dihydro-5-methyl-6-pentylpyran-2-one formula 1, using the Fusarium culmorum AM10 filamentous enzyme system. 5-Hydroxy-5-methyl-6-pentyltetrahydropyran-2-one, of the formula II, can be used as a food detector for harmful insect species.
