Abstract

Surowce w procesie utleniania wprowadza się w następującej kolejności: katalizator, limonen, metanol, natomiast roztwór utleniacza wprowadza się dopiero do mieszaniny reakcyjnej po osiągnięciu przez nią temperatury 70°C.The method of oxidizing limonene with a 60% aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide or a 6 M solution of t-butyl hydroperoxide in decane, for a period of 0.5 h to 72 h, in the presence of a catalyst containing molybdenum and methanol as a solvent is characterized by the use of 2.0 - 2.4 mass% catalyst in the reaction mixture containing MoO3 as the active phase and active carbons as the carrier. The process is carried out at a temperature of 70 ° C, with a methanol concentration in the reaction mixture of 92 - 93% by mass. The catalyst contains Mo in an amount of 0.01 - 4.5% by mass. The process of oxidizing limonene is carried out at atmospheric pressure, with a limonene: oxidant molar ratio of 1: 2. The raw materials in the oxidation process are introduced in the following order: catalyst, limonene, methanol, while the oxidant solution is only introduced into the reaction mixture after it reaches a temperature of 70 ° C.
