Abstract
Przedmiotem zgłoszenia jest metoda modyfikowania metali za pomocą lasera, która daje efekt znakowania bądź grawerowania bądź cięcia. Polega ona na nałożeniu na powierzchnię metalu substancji będącej organicznym związkiem krzemu, co oznacza, że posiada ona przynajmniej jedno wiązanie krzem-węgiel lub też mieszaniny zawierającą taką substancję. Następnie powierzchnię metalu oświetla się laserem o mocy co najmniej 1 W, przy czym długość fali lasera mieści się w zakresie od podczerwieni, poprzez światło widzialne, do światła ultrafioletowego. Po działaniu światła lasera, w przypadku łagodnych warunków procesu, na powierzchni metalu powstaje ciemna warstwa, co określane jest jako znakowanie. Przy większej mocy lub dłuższym czasie naświetlania lub większej ilości naświetleń otrzymuje się grawerowanie. Przy jeszcze intensywniejszych parametrach procesu można przeciąć obiekt metalowy. Mieszanina z organicznym związkiem krzemu zawierać może także substancję absorbującą promieniowanie, substancję zwiększającą lepkość, spoiwo lub rozpuszczalnik.
