Wynalazek dotyczy jednoczesnego sposobu otrzymywania 3β,7α, 17β-trihydroksy-androst-5-enu i 3β,7β,17β-trihydroksy-androst-5-enu, o wzorach 2 i 3, na drodze mikrobiologicznej redukcji, w której jako substrat stosuje się 7-okso-DHEA, o wzorze 1, przy użyciu systemu enzymatycznego grzyba strzępkowego Piptoporus betulinus AM39.
