Abstract

The subject of the application is a method of producing a paraffin emulsion for paper packaging coatings, which consists in 40 - 640 parts by weight of refined paraffin from petroleum processing being a mixture of solid, high-molecular hydrocarbons, mainly n-paraffin, 40 - 640 parts by weight of synthetic paraffin from Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, 14 - 68 parts by weight of glycerol monostearate, 14 - 58 parts by weight of sodium stearate, 5 - 20 parts by weight of eight ethylene oxide glycol, and 20 - 89 parts by weight of hemp seed oil, heated to 90 – 95°C with simultaneous mixing of the ingredients until a homogeneous mixture is obtained, then 800 – 1400 parts by weight of water at a temperature of 85 – 95°C are gradually introduced so that the temperature of the reactor content does not drop below 88°C, and then the whole is mixed then the obtained emulsion is homogenized twice by passing through the homogenizer, at a pressure of 13 - 50 MPa on the first stage of homogenization and at a pressure of 1 - 9 MPa on the second stage of homogenization. In addition, the method of producing a paraffin emulsion for paper packaging coatings consists in 40 - 640 parts by weight of refined paraffin from petroleum processing being a mixture of solid, high-molecular hydrocarbons, mainly n-paraffin, 40 - 640 parts by weight of synthetic paraffin from the Fischer- Tropsch, 14 - 68 parts by weight of glycerol monostearate, 14 - 58 parts by weight of sodium stearate, 5 - 20 parts by weight of glycol ethoxylated with eight molecules of ethylene oxide, heated to a temperature of 90 - 95°C while mixing the ingredients until a homogeneous mixture is obtained, then 800 - 1200 parts by weight of water at a temperature of 85 - 95°C are gradually introduced so that the temperature of the reactor content does not drop below 88°C, then the whole is mixed and the resulting emulsion is homogenized twice by passing through a homogenizer under a pressure of 13 - 50 MPa on the first homogenization stage and at a pressure of 1 - 9 MPa on the second homogenization stage, then 1 - 5% by weight of honey or hemp oil is added and the whole thing is thoroughly mixed until a homogeneous emulsion is obtained.
