Abstract
The subject of the application is a method of producing modified bionanocellulose (BNC), according to the invention, consisting in the preparation of an inoculum by inoculation on a Hestrin-Schramm liquid medium containing glucose, yeast extract, bacterial peptone, citric acid, Na2HPO4, MgSO4 • H2O, in a liquid sterilized culture medium of acetic fermentation bacteria of the Komagataeibacter genus, preferably a Komagataeibacter xylinus bacterial strain. Then, mixing for 15 minutes and incubation for 7 days at 25 - 30°C, mixing again for 5 minutes, and transferring the inoculum thus obtained in the amount of 5 - 20% by volume to the production medium and carrying out stationary culture for 3 - 20 days in at 25 - 30°C. Subsequent purification with 0.1 M NaOH solution at 80°C for 30 min and rinsing with distilled water until the pH stabilized at 6.5 - 7.5 and drying. The essence of the invention is that the BNC material is modified using low-pressure plasma, i.e. ionized gas molecules, for 1 - 30 minutes. The process is carried out in a plasma generator with a gas flow in the range of 5 - 50 sccm.
