Przedmiotem zgłoszenia jest system do obróbki lub łączenia materiałów zawierający źródło promieniowania (L) generujące wiązkę promieniowania o gęstości strumienia umożliwiającej uzyskanie zmiany postaci lub właściwości fizycznych zadanego materiału i skierowaną na obrabiany materiał (1), charakteryzujący się tym, że ma co najmniej jedno źródło zimnej plazmy atmosferycznej (A, A1, A2, B, B1, B2) kierujące strumień (9) zimnej plazmy atmosferycznej na obszar materiału (1) poddawany działaniu wiązki ze źródła promieniowania (L) lub częściowo albo całkowicie na ślad (2) obróbki. Zgłoszenie obejmuje także sposób obróbki lub łączenia materiałów z wykorzystaniem ww. systemu.
