Czujnik drgań zawiera trwale osadzony na powierzchni badanego elementu (2) czujnik piezoelektryczny (1), który oddzielony jest od powierzchni badanego elementu (2) warstwą klejową (3). W warstwie klejowej (3) osadzony jest pręt stalowy (4), który przebiega centralnie wzdłuż płaszczyzny styku czujnika piezoelektrycznego (1) z powierzchnią badanego elementu (2), przy czym swoją górną powierzchnią styka się z dolną powierzchnią czujnika piezoelektrycznego (1), a swoją dolną powierzchnią styka się powierzchnią badanego elementu (2).
