Przedmiotem zgłoszenia jest sposób wytwarzania urolityny A i jej analogów o wzorze ogólnym 1, w którym każdy z podstawników R1, R3, i R4 niezależnie oznacza podstawnik wybrany z grupy obejmującej atom wodoru, grupę C1-C4 alkilową, -F, -Cl, -Br, -CH2F, -CHF2, -CF3, -CH2Cl, -CHCl2, -CCl3, -CH2Br, -CHBr2, -CBr3 oraz -CH2-NO2, odpowiednio z fluorenu i jego analogów przy wykorzystaniu reakcji potrójnego utleniania Baeyera-Villigera i podwójnej hydrolizy.
