Zastrzeżenia dotyczą głównie zmian dotychczasowych cech konstrukcyjnych turbiny, polegających na tym, że: zamiast łopat turbina ma zamontowane koło na paski klinowe lub koło zębate; zamiast wiatru, siłę wprawiającą w ruch wirnik turbiny jest silnik elektryczny, ewentualnie spalinowy; turbina umieszczona jest nie na wysokiej wieży, ale w jakimś pomieszczeniu na ziemi.
