Stwierdzono równiez, ze szczególnie dobre wy¬ niki osiaga sie, jezeli zawartosc chlorowanych Jksylenoli w gotowym srodku wynosi okolo 4—8°/o, zas chlorowanego metylonaftalenu okolo 2—4% w stosunku wagowym. Oprócz podstawowych skladników toksycznych, to jest mieszaniny chlorowanych ksylenoli z chlo¬ rowanym metylonaftalenem, srodek wedlug wyna- 4974149741 lazku zawiera i inne skladniki, a mianowicie skladniki ulatwiajace wnikanie preparatu do drewna, np. monochloronaftalen, skladniki hydro¬ fobowe, zmniejszajace penetracje wody do drewna, np. woskol oraz wypelniacze. Monochloronaftalen nadaje sie tu szczególnie dobrze, gdyz niezaleznie od wlasciwosci hydrofobowych wykazuje tez wla¬ sciwosci toksyczne. Jako wypelniacze mozna sto¬ sowac oleje weglopochodne, to jest olej sredni, olej rozpuszczalnikowy lub olej opalowy wzglednie rozpuszczalniki aromatyczne wzglednie alifatyczne.Ponizej podano przyklady skladu srodka wedlug wynalazku. PL PLPriority: Published: 25/10/1965 49741 KI.MKP UKD 38h, 2/01 d/jfo Co-inventors of the invention: Kazimierz Borodzinski, PhD, Michal Czajnik, MA, Ludwik Stepniewski, MA Patent owner: ONZe Zespoly Gospodarcze Sp.zo.o. Construction Chemistry Team, Warsaw (Poland) Fungicide for Impregnation of Building Materials, Especially Wood. The invention concerns a fungicide for impregnation and mold control of components used in construction, particularly wooden components, in which the toxic base is chlorinated xylenols and chlorinated methylnaphthalene. Known impregnation and fungicides containing chlorinated polyphenols and naphthalene chlorination products as their main toxic ingredients, despite certain advantages, have significant drawbacks. The disadvantages of these agents result primarily from the use of non-uniform and non-standard raw materials, particularly polyphenols, in their production. The variable quality of raw materials causes unequal fungicidal power of the individual components of these agents. The agents according to the invention do not have these disadvantages. This agent differs from the known ones in that it contains a mixture of chlorinated xylenols and chlorinated methylnaphthalene as the main toxic component. The invention is based on the experimentally established fact that impregnation and fungicidal agents in which the toxic base is a mixture of chlorinated xylenols and chlorinated methylnaphthalene, show unexpectedly high fungicidal power against house fungi and insects that are technical wood pests. Experiments and tests have shown that when chlorinated xylenols and chlorinated methylnaphthalene are mixed, a synergistic effect of these substances occurs, which is manifested in the fact that the total fungicidal power of the preparation is significantly higher than the sum of the toxic power of the mixture components. It has also been found that particularly good results are achieved if the content of chlorinated xylenols in the finished agent is about 4-8%, and chlorinated methylnaphthalene about 2-4% by weight. According to the invention, products with different chlorine contents can be used, and very good results are achieved when using chlorinated xylenols containing about 4-8% of chlorine and chlorinated methylnaphthalene with a content of about 20%. chlorine by weight. Such products are best obtained if the chlorination reactions of xylenols are carried out at a temperature of 75-85°C, and the chlorination reactions of methylnaphthalene at a temperature of 60-70°C. Under these conditions, the chlorination reaction proceeds relatively easily and quickly, with chlorine atoms entering such positions of xylene and methylnaphthalene that the resulting chlorination products, after mixing, have a fungicidal power higher than the sum of the toxic power of the individual components. In addition to the basic toxic components, i.e. the mixture of chlorinated xylenols with chlorinated methylnaphthalene, the agent according to the invention also contains other components, namely components facilitating the penetration of the preparation into the wood, e.g. monochloronaphthalene, hydrophobic components reducing the penetration of water into the wood, e.g. wax, and fillers. Monochloronaphthalene is particularly well suited here because, apart from its hydrophobic properties, it also exhibits toxic properties. Carbon-derived oils, i.e. medium oil, solvent oil or fuel oil, or aromatic or aliphatic solvents, can be used as fillers. The following are examples of compositions of the agent according to the invention. Example 1. Chlorinated xylenols, chlorinated methylnaphthalene, monochloronaphthalene, wax, medium oil. Example 2. Chlorinated xylenols, chlorinated methylnaphthalene, monochloronaphthalene, fuel oil. Example 3. Chlorinated xylenols, chlorinated methylnaphthalene, monochloronaphthalene, wax, solvent oil. — 4 — 2 — 1 — 1 — 92 — 1B — 4 — 2 — 86 — 8 — 4 — 2 — 5 — 81 parts by weight, » " 55 55 " ,, 55 55 parts by weight, „ „ 55 55 „ parts by weight, 55 55 55 55 55 55 55 5, Example 4. Chlorinated xylenols - 6 parts by weight, chlorinated methylnaphthalene - 3 „ „ 5 monochloronaphthalene - 30 „ „ gasoline and neutral oil - 61 ,, „ 10 15 20 The method for producing the agent according to the invention consists in neutralizing the chlorination products of xylenols and methylnaphthalene with ground calcium carbonate or diluted sodium hydroxide solution and mixing them in the appropriate ratio with the remaining ingredients. The agent according to the invention is relatively low volatile and its effect on animal organisms is significantly reduced, which significantly increases the scope of its application. PL PL
