Bo¬ guslaw Fiszer, Stanislaw Orman, Emil Huppert Wlasciciel patentu: Zarowskie Zaklady Materialów Ogniotrwalych, Zarów (Polska) Masa do ubijania trzonu pieców donicowych do wytapiania szkla Do wykladania trzonu komory w piecach do¬ nicowych do wytapiania szkla sluza bloki szamo¬ towe zwane plytami donicowymi. Nizej podano przyklady optymalnych skladów masy: Przyklad I 30% palonki wysokoglinowej o zawartosci 70% A1203 i granulacji — 2—6 mm 15% palonki wysokoglinowej o zawartosci 70% A1203 i granulacji — 1—2 mm 25% palonki wysokoglinowej o zawartosci 70% A120| i granulacji — 0—0,5 mm 8% piasku o granulacji — 0,05 mm 20% gliny ogniotrwalej surowej o granulacji — 0—1 mm 1% dekstryny lub lugu posiarczynowego 1% sody kalcynowanej Przyklad II '**"* 29% palonki wysokoglinowej o zawartosci 70% A1203 i granulacji — 2—6 mm 5299652996 3 4 14% palonki wysokoglinowej o zawartosci PL PLPublished: 28/11/1967 52996 KI. 80 b, 8/14 MKP C04b UKD ?/&€ Co-inventors of the invention: MSc Eng Justyn Stachurski, Wladyslaw Talowski, MSc Eng Jurand Bocian, MSc Eng Benedykt Karczewski, Stanislaw Andrusiewicz, MSc Eng Boguslaw Fiszer, Stanislaw Orman, Emil Huppert Patent owner: Żarowskie Zaklady Materialów Ogniotrwalych, Żarów (Poland) Compacting mass for the hearth of pot furnaces for melting glass Fireclay blocks called pot slabs are used to line the hearth of the chamber in pot furnaces for melting glass. These cuboid-shaped slabs weighing approximately 200-600 kg are stacked in several layers, one above the other. On the top layer of slabs, flowerpots are placed, in which the glass is melted. Manufacturing flowerpot slabs, due to their size and weight, is very expensive and labor-intensive. To eliminate these inconveniences, it was proposed to use a compacting mass instead of slabs, which was used on-site at the foundry to repair and replenish the slab layers on which the flowerpots rest. The composition of this mass included 60-79% of shale, 20% of raw clay, or 10% of quartzite, and a small amount (approximately 1%) of dextrin, sulphite lye, or another binder. The invention aims to further improve the properties of the ramming mass, especially to increase its resistance to thermal shocks, by using high-alumina shale with an appropriate grain size and quantitative composition, and sand, quartzite, or quartzite shale to compensate for the shrinkage of the mass. According to the invention, this aim is achieved if the mass contains 50-90% of high-alumina shale with a content of 60-90% A1203 and a grain size of 0-6 mm, 5-20% of sand, quartzite or quartzite schist with a grain size of 0.1 mm, 10-30% of ground refractory clay and 1-6% of dextrin or sulphite lye or another binder and optionally a flux, especially soda ash in an amount of up to 5%. The core of the chamber of pot kilns is compacted from a mass of this composition and a moisture content of about 7% using pneumatic or electric hammers. The mass application temperature is 1500-1600°C. Using masses with an increased A1£03 content instead of pot plates allows for a significant simplification of work and significantly extends the operating campaign of the kilns. Examples of optimal mass compositions are given below: Example I: 30% of high-alumina burnt clay with a moisture content of 70% A1203 and granulation — 2—6 mm 15% high-alumina fireclay with 70% A1203 content and granulation — 1—2 mm 25% high-alumina fireclay with 70% A120| content and granulation — 0—0.5 mm 8% sand with granulation — 0.05 mm 20% raw fireclay with granulation — 0—1 mm 1% dextrin or sulphite lye 1% soda ash Example II '**"* 29% high-alumina fireclay with 70% A1203 content and granulation — 2—6 mm 5299652996 3 4 14% high-alumina fireclay with PL PL
