Marian Mazurkiewicz Patent owner: Wroclaw University of Technology, Wroclaw (Poland) Device for dynamic testing of the hardness of abrasive tools The subject of the invention is a device for dynamic testing of the hardness of abrasive tools The devices for measuring the hardness of abrasive tools known to date are represented by many varieties. Drilling methods such as Grade-O-Meter, Schonhoner, Gillette, pressing or hammering methods such as Rockwell, Lindner, Franz's Sklerofix, and the Mackenzie sand method, Goldar-Peklenik drawing, and dynamic Calwell rolling can be distinguished among them. , Micheletti's shuttle hammer, acoustic Norton, Pesante, Czofnus and Pljat and many other less important. There are also analytical and sclerometric methods that may only be useful under laboratory conditions. The analysis of the existing methods showed many advantages, but also shortcomings, which resulted in further efforts to improve them. The modern method of measuring the hardness of abrasive tools should meet many conditions. The most important of them are: non-destructive, dynamic and non-linear character of the measurements related to the linear relationship with the current scales by Norton and Lubonudrow, independence of ¦sie from the granularity of the tested tools, ease of use and automation of the measurements made. None of the known methods combines all of the above-mentioned conditions. The object of the invention is to enable the hardness test to be made taking into account the dynamic loading of the abrasive grains at the measurement site in conditions similar to real ones. The working conditions of grinding wheels change very rapidly with the change of the cutting speed. In the case of the currently used static Rockwell and Mackenzie measurement methods, this is the cause of many misunderstandings between manufacturers and users who evaluate the properties of the tools under conditions of high cutting speeds. The task of the invention is to develop such a measuring device which would additionally take into account the cutting speed parameter in a simple construction system, without the need to use electronic devices as in the Calwell and Micheletti method. Such a device should work reliably and enable the automation of simple and quick measurements. This task was solved by the use of a pneumatic device using the Rocquellian penetrator principle, which in the solution according to the invention has the possibility of dynamic penetration into the surfaces of the grinding wheel with adjustable speed. range from 0 to 60 m / sec. The main technical advantages resulting from the use of the device according to the invention are that the measurement is adequate to the actual operating conditions of the grinding wheel in terms of actual cutting speeds, there is a better reproducibility of the measurement results compared to the static Rockwell method, greater measurement efficiency, small granularity dependence and ease of automation of the measurement and switching off the device to the measurement control line. The invention will be explained in more detail in the example of the embodiment shown in the drawing, in which Fig. 1 shows a schematic diagram of the device, and Fig. 2 shows a cross-section of the device according to the invention. The device for dynamic checking of the hardness of abrasive tools according to the invention consists of a body 1 in which a cylinder 2 of a piston 3 with an ending 4 ended with a penetrator 19 is placed, from a distributor 5 with control valve 6, reduction valve 7, manifold 8, pressure gauge, 9 scale in the units of the speed of movement of the penetrator 19 during the measurement, and the air lines connecting the cylinder 2 of the piston 3 with the distributor 5 and the distributor 5 with the collector 8. Constant operating pressure in the system is achieved by installing a reduction valve 7 at the supply input by means of which the pressure is regulated by a knob 21V in a smooth manner in the range from 0 to 6 atm. The device can be powered by a compressor or an industrial network of compressed air. In the initial position, the piston 11 of the distributor 5 and the piston 3 of cylinder 2 are in the upper position. The compressed air from the compressor passes through the reducing valve 7, the manifold 8 and the air line 12 through chamber A of manifold 5, air line 13 and chamber B of cylinder 2, thus keeping the piston 3 in the upper position. . At the same time, the compressed air passes through the air line 14 into the chamber C of the distributor 5, keeping the valve piston 11 in the upper position. In order to start the device, the compressed air flow to the distributor 5 is opened by pressing the button P. a conduit 15 connecting the control valve 6 with the manifold 5 enters chamber D of the manifold 5, causing the manifold 11 to move downward. With this position of piston 11 of manifold 5, compressed air passes from manifold 8 through air conduit 12, chamber E, and conduit 16 connecting chamber E of manifold 5 with cylinder 2. At the same time, the air flow from the manifold 5 is opened. The chamber B of the cylinder 2, which hitherto held the piston 3 of the cylinder 2 in the upper position, due to the connection of the chamber B of the cylinder 2 via the air conduit 4 ".-.;., L ^ P}" 13 of the chamber A and air conduit 1T from the atmosphere. Compressed air above the piston 3 of cylinder 2 causes it to move downwards. The background of the cylinder 2, as it moves downward, strikes the tip 4 terminated with a penetrator 11, held in the upper position by a spring. The movement of the piston 3 is transmitted to the penetrator 19, which, with a speed controlled knob 21, hits the surface of the grinding wheel at a distance depending on the distance between the surface of the grinding wheel and the ball imposed by the height of the shield 20. a permanent imprint, the size of which serves here as a measure of hardness. 5 When the piston 3 of the cylinder Z moves downwards, the outlet of the air conduit 14 connecting the space above the piston $ of the cylinder 2 with the chamber C under the piston 11 of the distributor 5 is opened. Thus, the air flows from above the piston 3 of the cylinder 2 under the piston 11 of the distributor 5 and switches the piston 11 to its original position. In this position of the piston 11, with the button P pressed, the air from the compressor flows through the manifold 8, the air line 12, the chamber A and the air line 13 under the piston 3 of cylinder 2 and lifts the piston 3 of the cylinder 2 to the starting position. air from the space above the piston 3: is forced out through an air line 16 connecting cylinder 2 with chamber E of manifold 5 and an air line 22 connecting chamber E of distributor 5 to the atmosphere. The position of the grinding wheel for measurement is determined on the adjustable table 23. by means of a knob 24 which presses them against the shield 29. After positioning on the adjustable table 23 and pressing the button P each time, one impression is made. The device as a whole is a very compact functional system, easy, safe and reliable in operation. PL
