Abstract

The automatic pilot testing computer, in accordance with this invention, is designed for the automatic and functional testing of various automatic pilots that equip aircrafts, by generating and injecting the appropriate stimuli for each function of the automatic pilot, processing the results, interpreting the accuracy of the response and time of response, identifying the possible faults, displaying the proper operation or malfunction status, in particular the defective function or unit number, as well as self-disconnecting from the power supply of the tested system at the end of the test sequence.The automatic pilot testing computer is implemented as a specialized computer, which, based on a program stored in the PROM memory, generates specific commands for each operating (test) mode. The commands operate both the automatic pilot and the blocks of the automatic pilot testing computer that generate the stimuli and the automatic pilot, and those units that collect, process and display the response of the tested system.
