Inventia se refera la un derivat hidrosolubil al teofilinei si este 8-hidrazinoteofilina cu formula: (vezi formula în desc.) care este subsatanta alba cu punct de topire 315 ........316 degree C solubila în apa si etanol solubila la cald în dimetilformamida, dioxan, partial solubila în n-propanol eter, petrol, acetona, cu actiune holitica si spasmolitica. Procedeul pentru prepararea derivatului conform inventiei consta în aceea ca 8-bromteofilina actioneaza cu hidrazina în mediu de metanol la reflux timp de trei ore dupa care se compara substanta obtinuta care purifica prin cristalizare don etanol.
