Abstract
Inventia se refera la un electrolizor pentru obtinere pe cale electrochimica a hidrochinonei pornind de la o solutie benzenica de p-benzochinona. Inventia prevede efectuarea reducerii catodice a p-benzochinonei sub forma de solutie benzenica emulsionata cu solutie apoasa diluata de acid sulfuric, într-o celula fara separarea compartimentelor electrodice. Inhibarea reactiei nodorite de oxidare anodica a hidrochinonei formate se realizeaza prin impunerea unei densitati de curent anodice suficient de ridicate pentru ca ponderarea acestei reactii sa scada foarte mult în favoarea reactiei de descarcare a oxigenului. Acest deziderat se realizeaza prin constructia electrozilor astfel ca raportul suprafata catodica/suprafata anodica sa fie cuprins între 50 si 150.
