Abstract

The manifold block for the hot runner(2) is connected to a manifold plate(4) and an adjacent tool plate(5) by ring-shaped elliptical pressed-in seals(6,61). The connecting seals allow the manifold block to adopt a certain angular position relative to the manifold and tool plates. The pressed-in seals may be formed by a number of manifold blocks. Seals are located at both the front(11) and rear(12) ends of the manifold block. Suitable holding points, e.g. a bore or other hollow chamber with a cylindrical wall shape, formed in the manifold plate and tool plate grip, and retain the seals.
