Abstract
A cooler (12) is fitted in the air channel (11) between two pre-heaters (4,6) for cooling dependent upon the gas outflow temperature in the air pre-heater (4) connected in the smoke gas channel. In this way, a gas outflow temperature is not exceeded at which an essential part of sulphuric acid vapour in the gases is condensed.
