Abstract

A spray guard (2) for a vehicle comprises a holder (3) and a mud-flap (4). The mud-flap (4) is provided at the top with a bead (5) for reception in a complementary section (7) arranged in the holder (3). At its two ends the bead (5) has a resilient tongue (6) which in the fitted state of the mud-flap (4) lies within the cross-sectional contour of the complementary section (7) and secures said flap axially in the insertion and pull-out direction. When fitting the mud-flap (4) the bead (5) is inserted into the complementary section (7), the resilient tongue (6) being pressed in within the cross-sectional contour of the complementary section (7). When the mud-flap (4) has assumed its final installation position, the resilient tongue (6) springs out or is disengaged until it protrudes on the holder (3) so as to secure the mud-flap (4) against displacement. <IMAGE>
