มิวแทนท์รีคอมบิแนนท์โปรตีนชนิดใหม่ที่สามารถจับยึดกับแอนติบอดีที่สร้างขึ้นต่อทอกซินของ Pactourella multocida ที่มีประโยชน์ใช้เป็นวัคซีนที่ให้การป้องกันต่อโรคที่ก่อ โดย Pactourella multocida และอาจต่อโรคอื่นและที่เสถียร พร้อมทั้งสามารถทำให้บริสุทธิ์ได้โดยวิธีการทำบริสุทธิ์ที่ ไม่ยุ่งยาก

1. รีคอมบิแนนท์มิวแทนท์โปรตีนที่มีรหัสประมวลอย่างน้อยเปนบางส่วนโดยลำดับดีเอนเอที่อนุพัทธ์ได้จากจีน toxA รวม ทั้ง toxA ที่ประมวลรหัสสำหรับทอกซิน 45/78 ของ Pagteurella multocida (PMT) โดยการแทนที่การตัดออกหรือการ สอดแทรกของโคคอนหนึ่งหรือมากกว่า โปรตีนดังกล่าวสามารถจัด เกาะกับแอนตินอดีที่สร้างต่อ ที่ประมวลรหัสโดย Pagteurella multocida SPP muiltocida 45/78 โปรตีนมีน้ำหนักโมเลกุลคำน วนอย่างน้อย 140 KD
