Bulusun konusu cam ve tuz eriyiklerinde elektrokimyasal ölçmeler yapmak için ve en azindan bir ölçme elektrodu ve bir referans elektrodundan olusan bir düzenektir. Ölçme sonuçlarinin çok hassas olmasini saglamak için ölçme elektrodunun eriyigin içine daldirilan ucu asil bir metalden imal edilerek, kuvars camdan yapilan bir tüpün içinden geçirilmistir. Elektrodun ucu gaz sizdirmayacak sekillde kuvars tüpün ucuna tespit edilmistir.
