Abstract

The present invention relates a liquid crystal alignment agent, a liquid crystal alignment film and a liquid crystal display device. The present invention provides the liquid crystal alignment agent which can form the liquid crystal alignment film with the property of good alignment, the formed liquid crystal alignment film and the liquid crystal display device possessing the liquid crystal alignment film. The liquid crystal alignment agent is made from the polyamic acid which is formed by the reaction of tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride and diamine, the imidized polymer with the structure of dehydration-ring closure reaction of the polyamic acid, or the mixture of the polyamic acid and the imidized polymer, and is a solution comprising at least one solvent selected from the group of amide-base solvent made from 3-alkoxy-N,N-dialkylpropaneamide. The present invention is accomplished by the liquid crystal alignment agent and the liquid crystal display device possessing the liquid crystal alignment film forming by the liquid crystal alignment agent.
