Abstract

An ESD protective structure built on an IC substrate, which comprises: an ESD protective element built on the substrate; a high voltage generator having an output terminal for raising the transient voltage of the ESD in the occurrence of an ESD event, and generating at least one high voltage impulse on the output terminal, the voltage value of the high voltage impulse being larger than the voltage value of the ESD transient voltage; in which the output terminal of the high voltage generator is electrically coupled to the ESD protective element so that the generated high voltage impulse can trigger and start up the ESD protective element.
