Abstract

A method of manufacturing plywood includes operations of manufacturing veneer plies, drying the veneer plies, preparation of a glue, putting the glue on the veneer plies, formation of packets of the veneer plies, pre-pressing and pressing of the packets of veneer plies. During preparation of the glue to phenol-formaldehyde resin as active reinforcing filler 5-10% solution of potassium alum (KAl(SO)·12HO) is added in amount of 0.05-1.0 weight parts per 100 weight parts of resin.
