  • a curtain (1) has horizontally long slits (2) punched at regular intervals in the vertical direction, has proper patterns (3),which are also ventilating ports punched in every other space between two adjacent slits (2) and has a proper number of such vertical rows of patterns provided in the horizontal direction and is fitted in the upper end parts to tubes (5) fitted to idle on a winding shaft (4).

  • the winding shaft (4) is connected at its respective ends with a winder mechanism (9) and a supporter (l0) and has collars (ll) fitted closely to both ends sides of each tape (6) and collars (l2) fitted closely to both side edges of the curtain 2 body (1) so that the curtain (1) may be smoothly elevated and lowered by the tapes (6).
  • the winder (9) has a winding string (13) and is so constructed as to rotate the winding shaft (4) and to stop it in any rotating position.
  • the winding string (13) can stop in any position the tapes (6) for suspending the curtain.
  • the supporter 10) is rotatably connected with the winding shaft (4).
  • the operation of the present invention is as follow: First of all, in order to cause the patterns (3) and 7) coincide with each other to provide a ventilating port, the tape (6) is wound up with the winder (9) until the patterns (3) and (7) coincide with each other.
  • the weight (8) in the lower end part of said tape (6) will be barred by the slits (2) at the lower end of the curtain body (1) and the curtain body (1) will be elevated together with the tapes (6) (FIG. 2) without being wound up on the winding shaft (4) due to the idling of the tubes (5).
  • the slits (2) and patterns (3) are punched in a part of body (1 and the patterns (7) which correspond to the patterns (3) are punched in a part of each tape (6), the tapes (6) are inserted through the above mentioned slits (2), and a weight (8) is fitted to the lower end part of each tape (6).
  • the curtain body (1) is fitted by its upper end part to the winding shaft (4) through tubes (5) idling on said winding shaft (4), with the tapes (6) being fitted by the upper end parts to said winding shaft (4) and a winder (9) is connected with said winding shaft (4). Therefore, the patterns in the curtain body and tapes can be caused to coincide with each other so as to be convenient for ventilation.
  • a curtain comprising a sheet-like body having at least two rows of horizontal slits arranged at regular intervals in a vertical direction and an open pattern in every other space between two adjacent slits in each row, a draw tape threaded through the slits of each row, each draw tape having patterns corresponding to the patterns of the body and upper and lower end parts, a winding shaft, tubes mounted on the winding shaft for idling thereon, said body having an upper end, means on said upper end of the body fitting the body on said tubes, means attaching the upper end of each tape to the winding shaft, a weight attached to the lower end of each tape, and a winding mechanism operably connected to the winding shaft to rotate the winding shaft.
