Abstract
Artículo moldeado (y método de fabricación) resistente a impactos balísticos comprendiendo comprendiendo un conjunto comprimido de láminas que comprenden cuerpos alargados de refuerzo, donde al menos algunos de dichos cuerpos son de polietileno de peso molecular promedio en peso de al menos 100.000 gramo/mol y una relación Mw/Mn de a lo sumo 6. Cuando los cuerpos de polietileno son cintas, tienen preferiblemente un parámetro de orientación uniplanar 200/110 de al menos 4. Cuando los cuerpos alargados son fibras, los mismos tienen preferiblemente un parámetro de orientación uniplanar 020 de a lo sumo 55 grados. También se reivindica un método para fabricar el articulo moldeado resistente a los impactos balísticos.
