Definitions

  • the invention relates to a metering and mixing gun for multi-component plastics, the material components of which can be pressed out of several cartridges arranged in a gun housing by means of push pistons, the push rods of which can be driven by a common drive device.

  • di to be mixed material components very different viscosities, so that the forces required for pressing are very different.
  • Such different squeezing forces can also occur if cartridges with different piston diameters are used because the material components are mixed in a mixing ratio different from 1.
  • These different push rod forces mean that the push rods and the central drive rod are loaded on one side and are therefore bent to one side. This can lead to a clamping effect and thus to increased friction or even blocking of the drive device. If the push rods and the central drive rod are made as thin as possible to reduce weight, the unevenly acting forces lead to permanent deformations.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to design a metering and mixing gun of the type mentioned in such a way that no lateral force components are exerted on the push rods even with very different and high piston pressing forces; Lateral deformation of the push rods should be excluded with certainty.
