Abstract

Des nouveaux composés destinés à être inclus dans un mélange ferro-électrique smectique de cristaux liquides sont représentés par la formule (I), où les anneaux représentent indépendamment du phényle, du cyclohexyle ou du pyrimidyle, n représente 0 ou 1, m représente 1, 2 ou 3 (m + n représente 1,2 ou 3), A, B, D, E représentent indépendamment H ou F, Z représente un groupe de liaison ou un liant unique, R1 représente de l'alkyle ou de l'alcoxy, R2 représente optiquement de l'alkyle (n=0) ou du -COOR3 (CH(CH3) COOR4, où R3 représente de l'alkyle optiquement actif et R4 représente du n-alkyle (n=1), et a représente 1 ou 2. Des mélanges ferro-électriques smectiques contenant ces composés de préférence sous une forme non optiquement active ou racémique sont décrits. Chacun des anneaux représente de préférence du phényle.
